Welcome to Wisconsin Prosthetics and Orthotics Home Page
You should be able to live your life to the fullest, and achieve any goal you set for yourself. In short you should be able to live your life better. At Wisconsin Prosthetics and Orthotics that is not just our motto it is our goal. Providing prosthetic and orthotic services since 1951 we are committed to helping you achieve your goals, no matter what they are.
Wisconsin Prosthetic and Orthotics (WPO), formerly known as Wisconsin Orthopedic Appliance Co, was founded in Milwaukee in 1951 by Joe Pungarcher, himself an amputee. After one year, Joe moved his business to Green Bay, where the original office still remains. In 1975, Raymond Gustin, CP purchased the company along with his partner Jack Weldon, CP. They successfully ran the practice as a single office until 1988, when the practice expanded to multiple locations across Wisconsin, including a mobile service to outlying areas. In 2006 WPO was purchased by Physiotherapy Corporation and joined with our sister company ACTRA Orthotics and Prosthetics to become one of the largest O&P providers in the state of Wisconsin. Together with ACTRA we are able to provide patients with the utmost of care close to their homes, allowing our patients the ability to LIVE LIFE BETTER.
At WPO we measure our success through the achievements of each and every patient. Our goal is to help our patients reach their individual goals and LIVE LIFE BETTER.
Since our patients' needs are constantly changing, we make it our mission to be their partner in care and provide for their lifetime needs. We provide solutions in our outpatient offices, area hospitals and clinics and nursing homes.
When prosthetic and orthotic services are needed ask for us by name. Our staff is focused on helping each patient reach their individual goal not imposing our own ideas of success on patients.
